Coloring with the technique in watercolor: time-lapse painting

Bia and Litlle Bread, characters in a magical tale

Posted by Bia Watanabe | 19 de November de 2016 | Creating!, Video, Watercolor

Bia and Little Bread were tired after eating snacks at their picnic! In this magic world, Little Bread is huge and Bia is so tiny! What are these two still going to do? How did they end up in this place?

Where did I start?

This drawing was made as a study for the stories of Bia and Little Bread. I began by sketching it using blue graphite (I like this color and the appearance it gives, but it can not be completely erased) and then I painted this drawing with watercolor. In the video, I only started to present the painting after the first layers in the flowers and characters. I started this drawing some time ago, so the first part of this process was not recorded. I am sorry!

Materials?

Winsor & Newton Watercolor, brushes of varying sizes, Moleskine watercolor notebook and coloured pencils of various brands. The brown I used for the lines is from Lyra, from the Rembrandt colored pencils. This pencil is water-soluble.
