After many years without painting, I decided to buy a watercolor set. Finally, I bought one that was really nice that helped me a lot to progress in my artistic work. It was a box from Winsor & Newton that I bought at Ebay.

Indeed, a good material makes all the difference. I start to like more and more to paint, which I did not think I could do…

So that’s the apple! One of the first drawings I did, probably in 2013. Looking at a reference picture of an apple, I noticed many colors and apple nuances: yellow parts, red, purple, spots.

This study made think about the following quotation:

before you are able to draw, you have to learn to see, and you learn to see by drawing (Mick Malsen)

Since that time I am learning to really see the world.
