Watercolor Halloween Mice - time lapse coloring

Be aware, Mouse, someone wants to get your sunflower seeds!

Drawing with lines in ink, coloring with watercolor! Colored pencils details and pen Tombow markers!

What to paint?

I researched some Halloween references on the internet and then, I wanted to draw flowers, pumpkins and mice. I wanted something playful and cute, but with Halloween details. The cool part of making a drawing about a common theme is that later you can publish it on other social networks like Instagram and you can choose hashtags that make your work visible to more people. Well, it may be a way to enhance the visibility of what you are doing.

Where to start painting?

In this drawing I started by  the yellow “lights”. Everything that was yellow or orange I started painting first, making the initial marks. I think it helps to remember how will the whole drawing be and provide a more homogeneous color palette.

Which materials?

I used watercolor Winsor&Newton  and colored pencils from different brands. At the end, I used some Tombow markers, which can be used as watercolors. The lines were made with ink.
